Indian Forest Service (Main) Exam 2017 Dates Announced

INDIAN FOREST SERVICE (MAIN) EXAMINATION, 2017

(TIME-TABLE)

UPSC has announced the Indian Forest Service (Main) Examination dates for the year 2017. The Main Examination is likely to be held in December, 2017. The Main Examination will be held on the following Centres : Bhopal, Chennai, Delhi, Dispur (Guwahati), Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Nagpur, Port Blair and Shimla. The number of vacancies to be filled on the results of the examination is expected to be approximately 110. All qualified candidates, will have to fill in a Detailed Application Form subsequently as per further instructions to be provided to the candidates through UPSC's Official Website i.e. www.upsc.gov.in.

The Main Examination will consist of written examination and an interview test. The written examination will consist of 6 papers of conventional essay type in the subjects. The interview will carry 300 marks (with no minimum qualifying marks). ALL QUESTION PAPERS MUST BE ANSWERED IN ENGLISH . QUESTION PAPERS WILL BE SET IN ENGLISH ONLY.
